Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 and Mi Pad 5 Pro tablets went on sale on August 16 and sold 200,000 copies in 5 minutes. The new products debuted MIUI for Pad firmware, which is a modified version of MIUI 12.5 shell, with a new Windows 10-inspired mode in the software.

What is known?

MIUI for Pad has added an app that, when launched, turns the tablet into a computer with a Windows 10-style interface. This chip has migrated from Xiaomi's bendable Mi Mix Fold smartphone. It too got a special version of MIUI focused on the large display.

Users get an interface with Start menu, taskbar and control center. In the lower right corner, there is an icon next to the clock that shows the battery level. Just like Windows laptops.
