iQOO 8 Pro: the first flagship with 120Hz Samsung E5 display, Snapdragon 888+ chip, 120W charging and a special BMW version from $770

Today iQOO brand officially introduced its new flagships iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro. In all senses are advanced devices premium segment, but the older Pro-version  still a head above its little brother.

 what's the difference?

So, the iQOO 8 Pro boasts 6.76-inch Samsung E5 LTPO OLED display with adaptive refresh rate up to 120 Hz and curved edges. The panel supports 10-bit colors and has already received the highest rating, A+, from DisplayMate. By the way, this is the first smartphone with this panel. At  the same time, iQOO 8 6.56-inch AMOLED with FHD+ resolution and the same fast 120 Hz refresh rate.

Both run OriginOS shell on top of Android 11, only the regular iQOO 8 uses a Snapdragon 888 processor and iQOO 8 Pro  improved Snapdragon 888+. The iQOO 8 has a battery capacity of 4350 mAh, the iQOO 8 Pro has a slightly larger - 4500 mAh. Both models support 120W fast charging, with the older one also getting 50W wireless charging.

Also one of the main differences is the cameras. The senior model's triple camera includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX 766 sensor with 5-axis gimbal stabilization like Vivo's flagships, a 48 MP telephoto lens and a 16 MP portrait camera. There is the ability to record video at 8K resolution. The iQOO 8 has a simpler set: 48  Sony IMX598 sensor, 13 MP  and 13 MP portrait camera.

Perhaps, the most interesting are the special version from BMW Motorsport and the version with photochromic back that can change its color from white to orange depending on the light falling on the smartphone.
