Following in the footsteps of Apple, Xiaomi and Samsung: Google will remove the power pack from the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro
Google, following Apple, Xiaomi and Samsung, will also refuse from a complete power supply in its future smartphones.
What is known
A Google representative told this to The Verge after the announcement of the budget device Pixel 5a. The novelty still comes with a power pack, but the upcoming flagships Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will be stripped of it. According to the company, the power supply is simply not needed, as most users already have a charger with USB-C port.
Recall, the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will be unveiled this fall. Novelties will receive a proprietary Tensor processor with a security chip Titan M2. In addition, the smartphones will be equipped with water-resistant glass cases, OLED displays with up to 120 Hz, new advanced cameras, as well as batteries with more than 4000 mAh. The smartphones will support fast and wireless charging.
