An amazing story about the iPhone X was told by one of the Diamond Aviators forum users. His smartphone fell from a huge height and not only stayed working, but was not damaged at all.

On August 8, a user with the nickname dmloftus flew the Diamond DA40 from Colorado Springs to Atlanta. At one point, he wanted to take a picture of the cloud and opened the small window. He was well aware that at high speed the air currents could suck the smartphone into the window, so he kept his distance.

However, at that moment the plane hit some turbulence, as a result of which the smartphone still got sucked into the porthole. The plane was moving at an altitude of about 3.5 km at about 280 km/h in the process.

The owner mentally said goodbye to his iPhone X, but the next day he found through his old iPhone 6s that his X was still beeping. He then went to the supposed drop point to try and find his phone.

It turned out that the device had fallen in a field where soybeans were growing. So the pilot found his smartphone - safe and sound. Maybe it was helped by the case he had on the device. Either way, it turned out that the smartphone was fully functional.

We can assume that the bushes blunted most of the smartphone's speed, and the sturdy case and the fact that the iPhone X fell on soft ground rather than concrete or asphalt did the rest. Either way, given the height, this story sounds incredible.
