Apple has decided to delay the launch of SharePlay, one of the most exciting features of iOS 15. The feature will not be included in the first public release of iOS 15, iPadOS 15, tvOS 15 and macOS Monterey this fall, the company has confirmed.

Apple has already disabled SharePlay in the sixth beta of iOS 15 and iPadOS 15, and it will remain disabled in the upcoming macOS Monterey beta. Instead, the Cupertino-based company plans to include SharePlay in future developer betas and then in one of the public releases "this fall."

SharePlay is a new iOS 15 feature that Apple announced at this year's WWDC event. The feature allows Apple device owners to remotely watch movies, TV shows, music and more with friends and family members via FaceTime. The feature works on iPhone, Apple TV, iPad and Mac.

Developers working on integrating SharePlay into their apps can continue to test the feature using the new SharePlay development profile. However, Apple advises developers to remove the GroupActivities right before they introduce a new app update for their respective platforms.
