Apple recently sued designer Concept Creator, who created a huge number of renders of unannounced "apple" products, thus demanding that it stop divulging its trade secrets. As it turns out, Apple has long been following leak seekers and has even set up a "double agent".

What does this mean?

According to Motherboard, this was revealed by "agent himself" Andrey Shumeiko, known online as "YRH04E". For more than a year he been a member of the insider community, at  the same time providing Apple with information about people who were seeking, transmitting and distributing data about new products. In general, any information that could help the company combat leaks and the individuals responsible for them.

For example, in May 2020, Shumeiko "leaked" the person who was involved in leaking a preliminary version of iOS 14. He allegedly bought a stolen iPhone 11, which had an early version of the operating system downloaded to for internal use by Apple employees.

And in the summer of that year Andrew Shumeyko told of contacting an Apple employee in Germany who was working on Apple Maps. He wanted to sell the key to Apple's internal account used to access corporate email and other internal materials. The employee was then fired from the company.

At the same time, the whistleblower expected to be paid for the double activity, but that never  happened. According to he now feels cheated.
