Following Apple's example: Huawei started selling refurbished smartphones
Apple has long been selling remanufactured gadgets that allow you to save money on your purchase. Now its example has been followed by Huawei.
What are they selling?
Chinese media report that an area with refurbished smartphones has opened at Huawei Mall. These are practically new devices that have minor signs of use, but without disrupting their functionality. It seems, like in the case of Apple, these are used products that for some reason were brought back after purchase.
Such gadgets undergo rigorous quality and functionality testing at Huawei factories, are equipped with new batteries and run the operating system HarmonyOS 2 (Hongmeng in China). They have an official warranty of one year, and customers can also return the device within 7 days after purchase.
Now there are range of smartphones Huawei P30 and Mate 30 series, and prices range from 2000 to 6000 yuan (300-900 dollars). For example, the Huawei P30 is being asked for 2,799 yuan, and that's about $430 dollars.
