The price of a mid-budget smartphone: the cost of replacing the screens in the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 has become known

American publication The Verge has found out how much users will have to pay for screen replacement in the new folding smartphones Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3.

So, if you break the main display in Galaxy Z Fold 3, then you will have to pay $479 for a new one. In the case of the Galaxy Z Flip 3, the price tag will be $369. For comparison, the POCO F3 smartphone with a 120Hz AMOLED screen and top-of-the-line Snapdragon 870 processor costs about the same. 

As for the external displays of the devices, their cost is naturally cheaper - $149 and $99 respectively. By the way, with the purchase of smartphones, Samsung will give a one-year warranty with one free screen replacement. Users will also be able to subscribe to Samsung Care+ (only available in some countries). This will cost $12.99 per month and will allow replacing up to three screens per year.
