Xiaomi intends to fix one of the major problems that has haunted its smartphones for years. We are talking about incorrect operation of proximity sensors.

Despite the fact that the problem is software-based, the manufacturer from Beijing decided to use a comprehensive approach to fix it. It rejected Elliptic Labs sensors. The Norwegian company's sensors are used in a number of smartphones, including the Xiaomi Mi 11 and Redmi Note 10 Pro.

Minghao Sensing will be the new sensor supplier for Xiaomi models. Also the company from the Celestial Empire intends to refine its own software, so that in future smartphones users are not bothered by the problem of incorrect operation of proximity sensors.
