Xiaomi Mi 12 won't get MIUI 13, but will come out earlier than expected
Xiaomi will unveil its next-generation flagship smartphone as early as this year. The upcoming new product will arrive earlier than expected, but it won't get MIUI 13 out of the box.
What is known?
There have been rumors that the Xiaomi Mi 12 will be revealed in December, as was the case with the Xiaomi Mi 11. But according to new information, the next-gen flagship smartphone will debut in November this year. As such, it will go on sale with MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition software pre-installed instead of MIUI 13. But the firmware will be built on Android 12 OS.
Xiaomi Mi 12 will be powered by Snapdragon 898 processor, which is credited with a Cortex-X2 core and a 20 percent performance boost over Snapdragon 888. We'll also see 120-watt wired charging and a new Samsung AMOLED E5 panel with an adaptive refresh rate of 1-120Hz in the flagship.
