Leaf D05 - electric off-road scooter with a range of 72.5 km at a price of $2,995

Leaf Energy has unveiled an electric off-road scooter called Leaf D05. Funds for the novelty are being raised on the IndieGoGo crowdfunding platform.

Features

The Leaf D05 is equipped with front suspension, which provides a comfortable ride on steps and off-road. In the event of stopping on a slope, there is an automatic locking of the front wheels. The vehicle is equipped with a Bosch rear hub motor with a peak power of 1.2 kW and a torque of 128 Nm.

The electric scooter can travel at speeds of up to 40 km/h, and the 12.5 kWh battery pack offers a range of up to 72.5 km. However, the range can be potentially increased by means of recuperation. Other highlights include an LCD panel, Bluetooth, GPS and a USB port for smartphone charging.

Price and Availability

The Indiegogo platform has raised $12,025 of the planned $30,000. At the fundraising stage, the Leaf D05 is priced at $2,995. The price will then be raised to $4,250. Shipments of the vehicle are scheduled for February 2022.
