It's official: the next Lenovo Legion Phone 3 Pro gaming smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 898 chip
Lenovo unveiled its gaming smartphone Legion 2 Pro (aka Legion Phone Duel 2) in April, and is now working on its successor.
What is knownLenovo China Mobile CEO Chen Jin revealed this on his Weibo page. He said that the new product will hit the market with the name Legion Phone 3 Pro and will boast a new top-of-the-line Qualcomm SM8450 processor. That is, we are talking about the Snapdragon 898 chip.
Recall that the new SoC, according to rumors, will be 20% more powerful than the Snapdragon 888. The processor is attributed Adreno 730 graphics accelerator, 5G-modem Snapdragon X65 and the layout of the cores 1 + 3 + 2 + 2 instead of 1 + 3 + 4. Presumably, we are talking about one Cortex-X2 core, three Cortex-A710, two Cortex-A510 and two Cortex-A510 (with reduced frequency).
Unfortunately, there are no other specifications and announcement date for the smartphone yet. Most likely, the novelty will be shown in the first half of 2022.
