Retailer 'spotted' Apple iPhone 13 release date
The wait for the iPhone 13 is almost over, it's known for sure. When exactly the wait will end is not entirely clear, but one retailer has listed the iPhone 13 with a September 17 date.
This follows from a screenshot of an unnamed "e-commerce platform" posted on Weibo, which lists the iPhone 13 and its brethren next to that date, and the AirPods 3 headphones as September 30.
This leak can be treated with a certain amount of skepticism, as it's unclear what kind of seller it is. After all, he could have just used a notional date. Nevertheless, the data is consistent with other leaks, with many sources suggesting that the iPhone 13 will be announced in the third week of September.
Based on past practice, Apple will almost certainly place a pre-order for the phone on the Friday of the announcement week, which in this case could fall exactly on September 17.
