Samsung flagships receive important One UI 3.1 update

Samsung's flagship Galaxy S21 smartphones went on sale with One UI 3.1 firmware, but now the company has released One UI 3.1.1 software. The update has fixed a serious problem.

What has changed?

One UI 3.1.1 was introduced along with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip smartphones. Now the software update has reached the January flagships as well. All three models received the update: Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra.

The firmware number is G99*WVLU4AUGQ. The size is about 1GB. The main innovation is that the smartphones stopped overheating after installing the update. The update also brought Bedtime Mode, accidental tap protection, August 2021 security patch and improved system smoothness.

One UI 3.1.1 firmware number G99*WVLU4AUGQ is currently available in the US and Canada only. Release of the software update in Europe for Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra is expected in the near future.
