Xiaomi Mi TV 5X: a line of smart TVs with screens up to 55 inches, 40-watt speakers, 2 GB RAM and a price tag from $430

Xiaomi held a presentation in India Mi Smarter Living 2022, where it unveiled many new products, including the Mi TV 5X line of smart TVs.

What's known

The new series got three models: 43-inch, 50-inch and 55-inch. The TVs are equipped with screens with a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels. The panels support 10-bit color, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR, HLG, as well as the proprietary Vivid Picture Engine 2 image processing chip. The base model comes with 30-watt speakers. The 50-inch and 55-inch versions get a 40-watt audio system. All three devices claim support for Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD.

TVs have thin frames around the screen and metal frame . The devices run a quad-core processor paired with Mali-G52 MP2 graphics, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM. Of the ports, the novelties have three HDMI 2.1, two USB-A, as well as one Ethernet, an optical port, AV input, H.265 and a 3.5mm audio jack. The TVs come with dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0.

The Mi TV 5X lineup will ship with the Android TV operating system, on top of which is the updated PatchWall 4 interface It got smart recommendations, Google Assistant voice assistant, built-in Chromecast, kids mode, parental controls, universal search, and integration with the IMDb service

Price and when to expect

Xiaomi Mi TV 5X sales will start in India on August 7. Whether the new products will appear in other regions is not known.
