Announcement close: Microsoft Surface Duo 2 foldable smartphone with Snapdragon 888 chip already tested in Geekbench

It looks like Microsoft is seriously thinking about launching the second generation foldable smartphone Surface Duo. The novelty has now been spotted on Geekbench.

What is known

According to the performance test database, the device comes with the name Microsoft Surface Duo 2. The report says that the novelty will get a Qualcomm processor with four cores at 1.80GHz, three cores at 2.42GHz and one performance core at 2.84GHz. Judging from the source code of the report, the chip will come with Adreno 660 graphics. Hence, we are talking about the flagship Snapdragon 888 processor.

In addition, the smartphone will get 8GB of RAM and the Android 11 operating system. Unfortunately, other characteristics of the novelty are not available yet. By the way, recently a video with images of Surface Duo 2 prototype has appeared on the web. 

When to expect

Given that Microsoft is already testing the novelty in Geekbench, the announcement of the device is not far off.
