The British company Spacebit is preparing to launch the first Ukrainian mission to the moon. It is planned for 2022.

What is known?

Spacebit is engaged in developments in the field of space technologies. The mission will be carried out within the NASA Clips program, as announced by the founder of the British company Pavlo Tonasyuk. The Ukrainian side will create a camera and a radiation sensor, while the costs will range from $1 million to $1.5 million.

Sensor will be responsible for determining the radiation level on the Moon. It is noted that the data obtained during the mission will be used in the next study and will come to the aid of astronauts. The Ukrainian company Ecotest will develop the sensor.

It will be recalled that private enterprises in Ukraine were allowed to carry out projects on space exploration only in 2019, when the relevant law was adopted. Previously, only state-owned companies were allowed to do this.
