It includes the brush itself, four brush heads (toothbrush, gum, tongue cleaner and whitening), a brush head storage case, USB travel pouch with 60cm cord and a charging base cup.

The body of the brush is matte and grippy, it does not slip in your hands. The design has an on/off button that switches between five modes and an intensity button that allows you to select three levels. Light indicators show the selected mode and the level of charge. A purple ring at the base signals excessive pressure on the teeth during brushing. The battery lasts for 14 days and the brush can be recharged in just a few hours by placing it in a carrying case or using the wireless (induction) charging shell. The beaker has an additional function - you can use it to rinse your mouth.

So how do the smart features work? Sonicare DiamondClean Smart connects to the Philips Sonicare app, and gives you real-time feedback about your cleaning technique on your mobile device screen. Dedicated sensors for nozzle movement, intensity and pressure force send information to the app. On the screen you can see where your teeth are not being cleaned thoroughly: TouchUp will tell you which areas need more time and attention. The brush also monitors how hard you apply pressure to your teeth. If you apply too much pressure, the vibration and light on the handle signals you to reduce the pressure. The intensity of the brush strokes is also monitored and if you apply too much pressure, the app alerts you so the brush can do the job itself. The gadget also controls the cleaning time with a timer so that the owner can maintain the required 2 minutes. Other features of the app include the ability to set goals and monitor their achievement, with the app constantly giving personalized tips to improve brushing techniques.

Sonicare's sonic vibration technology delivers cleaning efficiency. It generates 31,000 cleaning strokes per minute, removing up to 10 times more plaque: 2 minutes of brushing is equal to 30 minutes with a manual toothbrush. Four different brush heads for different areas and applications gives you complete oral cleansing. The Premium Plaque Control brush head has bristles that adjust to the shape of your teeth to clean even hard-to-reach areas. The Premium Gum Control brush head provides cleaning along the gumline, where plaque tends to get inflamed. Clinical studies show a 7x improvement in gum health after 2 weeks of continued use. TongueCare+ is responsible for tongue cleaning. Its 240 micro bristles remove food debris from the tongue and bacteria from the pores, the cause of bad breath.
