While Xiaomi is releasing MIUI 12.5 software, the popularity of third-party firmware does not plan to decrease. For example, LineageOS 18.1 became available for seven Xiaomi smartphones.

Who updated?

LineageOS is one of the most popular shells. In the winter of 2021 the developers announced the end of support for Android 9.0 Pie, and in the spring they announced the software LineageOS 18.1.

The firmware is based on the Android 11 operating system. Formally, it is available for three Xiaomi smartphones, but in fact the list was wider. This is due to the fact that the company sells the same devices under different commercial names depending on the region.

LineageOS 18.1 is available for the following models:

  • POCO F2 Pro;
  • Redmi K30 Pro / Zoom Edition;
  • POCO F3;
  • Redmi K40;
  • Xiaomi Mi 11X;
  • POCO X3 Pro.

The firmware has all the features of Android 11 operating system in its arsenal. Some specific features include new backup utility with NextCloud support, new full-featured dark mode in all apps, and new calendar Etar instead of AOSP.
