ASUS ZenFone 8 Flip did not disappoint in DxOMark test
The flagship smartphone ASUS ZenFone 8 Flip unveiled in spring 2021 has fallen into the hands of experts from DxOMark. They tested its flip camera, which is used as both main and front camera.
What's the verdict?
To the strengths of ASUS ZenFone 8 attributed natural color reproduction when taking photos and during video recording. Experts also praised the level of detail in all scenarios. The smartphone proved itself well indoors.
The flagship was awarded 118 points. For photo and video it received 125 points and 108 points respectively. The zoom was rated at 50 points, the ultra-wide-angle camera at 30 points, and the night mode at 42 points.
Four other models scored 118 points in the test: the OnePlus 8 Pro, Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro, as well as the Samsung Galaxy S20+ and Vivo X50 Pro powered by the Exynos chip. But the regular ASUS ZenFone 8 with a dual primary camera was awarded 120 points. It boasts higher stabilization, but does not have a telephoto lens.
Recall, the Flip version got a 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor-based main module, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle unit with a Sony IMX363 sensor and an 8MP 3x zoom telephoto lens. The smartphone supports shooting video in 4K UHD at 60 FPS and in 8K UHD at 30 FPS.
