Sony has revealed what games will be added to its PlayStation Plus subscription service in September 2021, and it's a surprisingly good lineup. Last month, the company deviated from the norm by including two PS4 games and one game available for both PS4 and PS5, as opposed to a PS5 exclusive. This month, however, the company returned to its usual lineup of two PS4 games with one for PS5. All of the games will be available on PS Plus from September 7 to October 4.

What's Coming Out for PS5

In September, the free-to-play game for PS5 will be Overcooked: All You Can Eat. It's a compilation of everything from both games of Overcooked, the chaotic and fun cooking simulator. The version has been remastered for the new console, so the graphics, while quite cartoonish, can be considered an improvement.

Both single-player and cooperative play are available to players. The PS Plus subscribers will only get the PS5 version of the game, so the owners of the previous generation consoles will be left out.

What's coming out for PS4

But PS4 owners certainly have nothing to worry about. The first of the games for PS4 is Hitman 2. The second of the trilogy of Hitman games released relatively recently, Hitman 2 introduces exotic locations and tells the story of Agent 47 as he tries to uncover the mysterious "Shadow Client". This game also features a cooperative Sniper Assassin mode. Among other maps, Hitman 2 features locations in Mumbai, Whittleton Creek and Miami.

Another game for PS4 is Predator: Hunting Grounds, this month's multiplayer game. This asymmetrical PvP game pits a team of four players against a single player as the Predator. The human team must complete various missions and evade the Predator, while the Predator has many weapons at his disposal that he can use against humans.

What's available now?

All August games are available to PS Plus subscribers until and including September 6. These include Hunter's Arena Legends, Plants vs Zombies: Battle For Neighborville and Tennis World Tour 2. If you have a PS Plus subscription and for whatever reason haven't added these games to your library, now's the time to do so.
