Snapdragon 898 processor tested in Geekbench on unknown Vivo smartphone

Snapdragon 898 processor, which will be the basis of flagships 2022, was tested in benchmark Geekbench.

Results

The chip was tested in composition of unknown Vivo smartphone with code name model Vivo V2102A. The gadget runs Android 12 operating system.

As a result, the Snapdragon 898 scored 720 points in single-threaded test, while multi-threaded scored 1919 points. But the final scores are expected to be higher, as this is just an engineering sample SoC for now.

It is known that the chipset will be manufactured using Samsung's 4nm process technology and will have a 20% performance gain. It has a total of 8 cores, and currently the main frequency is only 1.78 GHz. But the final Snapdragon 898 is likely to have higher frequencies.

The processor should be unveiled later this year  - in December.
