Huawei has set an ambitious goal - to reach 300 million devices connected to HarmonyOS 2.0 by the end of the year. And the mission appears to be achievable.

In early June HarmonyOS 2.0 had only 10 million users, in late August - already 70 million, and within just a few days the number of users grew by another 20 million. In the total comes out to 90 million. As the CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group pointed out, 8 new users join HarmonyOS 2.0 every second.

True, there are a few clarifications. This is the number of devices on which is running HarmonyOS. By idea, one user can have multiple gadgets, accordingly - the number of users may vary. In addition, 100 million of 300 planned will be "smart" home devices. But there is still a long way to go to this.

Why did Huawei gain 20 million users in just a few days? Most likely it's older models upgrading to HarmonyOS. Currently HarmonyOS firmware has been released for about 56 older Huawei and Honor devices, and distribution continues.
