Xiaomi unveiled MIUI Pure Mode, a MIUI feature that protects against malicious apps
Xiaomi continues to improve its proprietary MIUI shell. So, this year released two small updates - MIUI 12.5 and MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition, and now the manufacturer introduced a new feature MIUI Pure Mode.
How does it work?
Xiaomi says that because of the open nature of Android, users can easily fall victim to attack through malicious apps. 40% of apps installed by MIUI users have never passed its security audit, and 10% are found to be potentially dangerous.
MIUI Pure Mode is designed to protect the gadget and owner from malicious apps. With activation of this option, users cannot install apps from external sources. It also blocks any installation that takes place in the background without the consent of the users.
This is also how Apple operates, but unlike it, Xiaomi allows you to disable MIUI Pure Mode and install apps from other sources.
Currently MIUI Pure Mode is being tested in China. When its full release will take place and will be available on international market - is not yet known.
