120W is the record for fast charging over the wire in today's smartphones. But, apparently, very soon the record will be updated by one of Xiaomi's future new products.

What is known?

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra premiered late last summer. The Snapdragon 865-powered flagship came out for the company's anniversary and was the world's first smartphone to support 120-watt charging via wire. Now there are several models on the market that also boast 120W charging power. For example, the Chinese version of the announced a few hours ago Nubia Red Magic 6s Pro.

Also 120W charging is expected in the Redmi K50. And the next-generation Xiaomi flagship will claim to support 150-watt charging via wired charging. At least, that's the opinion held by a well-known Digital Chat Station insider. It may well make its debut in the Xiaomi 12 family. Don't count on the standard model, but the Ultra version is fine.

Note that last spring Xiaomi showed in action the work of the 200 W charger by wire. With its help replenish the battery capacity of 4000 mA*h from zero to 100% can only take 8 minutes. But this technology does not debut on the market any time soon.
