Bitcoin drags everyone down - most popular cryptocurrencies down 15-26%

After problems with the launch of a national digital wallet in El Salvador the price of Bitcoin fell by $6,000 in an hour. Other cryptocurrencies followed suit.

Ethereum fell in price by 16.5% overnight. At the time of writing, the value is $3,236. As recently as a few days ago, Ethereum was struggling to gain a foothold at $4,000 for the first time since spring of this year.

One Cardano coin is valued at $2.23, though back at the beginning of the month the cryptocurrency was setting personal records, gradually approaching the $3.10 mark. It slid almost 17% in a day.

BNB currency of Binance exchange has fallen in price by almost 21%. Its value fell to $385, while the cryptocurrency itself fell to fifth place by market capitalization.

XRP fell in price by about a quarter, Solana's value fell by 18% and Dogecoin is 20% cheaper than 24 hours ago. Polkadot, a digital currency, lost the most in the top 10 overnight. Its price fell by more than 26%. Bitcoin itself after falling to $44,600 with time gained back $3,000 at once, but not for long. At the time of writing, the rate has fallen below $44,600.
