Apple has updated its list of obsolete devices - to it includes the 16GB iPod touch 5th generation.

What does this mean?

Recall, this is a low-cost version of the iPod touch 5, released in 2013 - a year after its big brothers. Unlike the 32GB and 64GB modifications, the 16GB iPod touch 5 was only available in one silver color and lacked a rear camera.

In the summer of 2015, Apple introduced the sixth generation iPod touch. The seventh generation didn't debut until 2019, after which the player never  received a continuation in the form of new models.

Getting on the list of obsolete products means that the device loses support from Apple or its service providers.
