WhatsApp is developing a new feature for iOS users that will help those who hate voice messages.

According to a source, WhatsApp is working on a new voice message decryption feature that will be done entirely on the user's device, so WhatsApp and Facebook will not be able to access their content.

Source notes that users' voice messages could also help Apple improve its speech recognition technology, but this is an optional feature.

Once the speech recognition access rights offer is accepted, users will be able to try the service in the new "Transcription" section, where they can also go to a specific time stamp.

Since the feature is still in development, WhatsApp public beta test participants can't try it out now, but gg editorial staff will let you know when it becomes available.
