Huawei unveiled Android-enabled laptops priced from $1,085

Following the PC MateStation S , Huawei has added MateBook 13s and MateBook 14s to its range of mobile computers. The former is offered in two modifications, the latter in three.

What is known?

Huawei MateBook 13s and MateBook 14s have 13" and 14" screens, respectively. Both support touch controls, 90Hz refresh rate and have a resolution of 2520 x 1680 dots. The smaller model weighs 1.32kg and the larger model weighs 1.43kg.

The similarities don't end there. The laptops feature 60Wh batteries, Intel Core i5 and Core i7 generation Intel Tiger Lake-H chips. There is 16GB of RAM and the storage capacity is 512GB in the junior version and 512GB / 1TB in the senior version.

The main feature of the new products is support for Android applications. For this purpose, developers have integrated proprietary technology Huawei Mobile Application Engine. According to the manufacturer, consumers will be able to use the software on laptops in the same way as on smartphones.

Pricing

Huawei MateBook 13s and Mate 14s are available in Intel Core i5-11300H and Core i7-11370H variants with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD. The cost was $1,085 and $1,240 in both cases, respectively.

14" model is additionally offered with Intel Core i5-11370H and 1TB storage for $1,400. Sales of the new products are scheduled to start on September 25.
