iPhone 13 Pro doesn't stand a chance with iPhone 12 Pro in Geekbench GPU test
Apple hasn't even opened pre-orders for the iPhone 13 family yet, but the Pro version has already been tested in the Geekbench benchmark.
iPhone 13 Pro is equipped with Apple's 5nm 6-core A15 Bionic processor. It included a 5-core video chip, which turned out to be much more powerful than the previous generation GPU. The result in Geekbench was 14,216 points. For comparison, the iPhone 12 Pro equipped with Apple's A14 Bionic SoC gives around 9100 points in this test.
At the presentation Apple called the new 5-core GPU the fastest chip in the world and promised a 50 percent advantage over any single-core system in the world in terms of graphics. An identical video accelerator is used in the iPhone 13 Pro Max and iPad mini 6, while the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini get a quad-core GPU.
