Realme C25Y - the new cheapest smartphone with a 50 MP camera

At the end of the summer, Xiaomi released the world's cheapest smartphone with a 50 MP camera. And there are two of them at once. First, the company showed Redmi 10 for $179-219, and then there was a version Prime priced from $170. But now the title of the most affordable model with a 50 MP camera has gone to Realme C25Y.

What is the beast?

The novelty is equipped with 12nm Unisoc T610 processor with up to 1.8GHz and Mali-G52 graphics. The single-chip system is complemented by 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM. The storage has a capacity of 128 GB and the battery capacity of 5000 mA*h.

The front side of the Realme C25Y has a 6.5" HD+ screen with a cutout for an 8-megapixel front camera. The main camera in the novelty has 50 MP + 2 MP + 2 MP resolution. Compared to the Redmi 10, it lacks an ultra-wide-angle module.

The smartphone got Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz), Bluetooth, Micro-USB, headphone jack, rear biometric sensor and support for 18-watt fast charging. The model runs on the Android 11 operating system.

How much does it cost?

Realme C25Y has become the world's cheapest smartphone with a 50 MP camera, but technically it is inferior to the competitor. The cost of the new product was $150. This is $40 cheaper than the global version Redmi 10 with 128GB of permanent memory and 4GB of RAM. Sales will start on September 27.

Recall, the Xiaomi model also comes with a 5000mAh battery with 18W charging and an 8MP camera. Meanwhile, it boasts a 90Hz FHD+ display, 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, NFC, USB-C, Wi-Fi 5 and Helio G88 chip.
