Microsoft has announced that the 2021 version of Microsoft Office will launch on October 5. The launch time for the new version of Microsoft Office coincides with the launch of Windows 11, which will also take place on October 5.

For those who don't know, instead of the cloud experience present in Microsoft 365, Office 2021 offers Office applications after a one-time purchase at a fixed price.

In addition, Microsoft has announced the availability of Microsoft Office LTSC or Long Term Servicing Channel for macOS and Windows. In case you're wondering, LTSC is an enterprise-focused version of Office 2021 available to both government and commercial customers.

LTSC brings features such as XLOOKUP in Excel, dynamic arrays, dark mode in all applications and enhancements in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word. Also included is the Microsoft Teams client.

Microsoft will release Windows 11 on October 5 as the next-generation OS for PCs and laptops. Windows 11 will include a new taskbar user interface and many enhancements. Android app support will also be coming soon.
