Microsoft Surface Pro 8 will get 120Hz display and Thunderbolt support
Microsoft is gearing up to launch the new Surface Pro 8 next week, and a leak seems to have revealed exactly what to expect. The Twitter account @Shadow_Leak posted a picture of the Surface Pro 8. The account claims that the Surface Pro 8 will come with a new 13-inch display with 120Hz refresh rate, narrow bezels and two Thunderbolt ports.
Last week, The Verge reported that Surface Pro 8 will ship without USB-A ports in favor of USB-C and Thunderbolt. The leaked image and specs are consistent with what those interested have already heard from sources familiar with Microsoft's plans.
The leak also demonstrates that Microsoft is moving to removable SSDs in Surface Pro 8. This is in line with Surface Laptop 4 and Surface Pro X ideology, and will make replacement drives easier.
Microsoft will be holding a Surface hardware event on September 22, where Surface Pro 8, Surface Go 3, the redesigned Surface Book 4, the redesigned Surface Pro X, and the Android-powered Surface Duo successor are expected to be announced.
