The other day we wrote that Motorola is preparing a budget Moto Tab 8 tablet for release. Now it has become known when the novelty will be released.

When to expect

According to 91mobiles, the device will debut in India on October 1. The tablet will be showcased during the Flipkart Big Billion Days event.

As far as specs are concerned, the Moto Tab 8 could be a renamed version of the Lenovo Tab M8 tablet. The device is credited with a clean version of Android OS, as well as 8-inch FHD screen, a 5 MP front-facing camera and a 13 MP primary camera. The tablet will be powered by the MediaTek Helio P22T chip paired with 2/3GB RAM and 16/32GB ROM. The built-in storage will be expandable with a memory card. The novelty should be powered by a 5100mAh battery.

If latest leaks are to be believed, the Moto Tab 8 will cost less than $270.

By the way, in addition to the tablet, Motorola is also expected to show a new smart TV at the October 1 presentation.
