Xiaomi has already overtaken Samsung in the smart TV market in India

Xiaomi has managed to overtake Samsung in India's smart TV market. This is evidenced by a recent report from analytical agency Counterpoint Research.

Q2 2021 TV shipments in India increased almost one and a half times (46%) compared to the same period last year. If we talk about Smart TV segment only, the growth was 65%.

The share of Xiaomi in the reporting period was 23%. In second place is Samsung, which occupies 17% of the market. Another giant from South Korea, LG, has an average of 11 TVs out of 100.

Sony and OnePlus are also in the top five. Their share amounted to 9% and 7% respectively. The most popular models in India are different versions of Xiaomi Mi TV 4A. Low-cost Samsung T4000 TVs are also in demand.
