Xiaomi introduced Redmi G 2021: gaming laptop with Intel/AMD chips, GeForce RTX 3060 graphics and 144Hz screen
Xiaomi, without any fuss, announced in China its new gaming laptop under the brand name Redmi.
What is known
The novelty was named Redmi G 2021. It gets a 16.1-inch display with a panel refresh rate of up to 144Hz and two versions. The first is powered by a Intel Core i5-11260H processor paired with a GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD drive. Such a laptop is charged by a 180W power supply. The second model, on the other hand, gets an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H chip, GeForce RTX 3060 graphics, the same amount of memory and a 230W power supply.
As for the rest of the specs, they are the same. Redmi G 2021 has cooling system with two fans and four outputs for heat dissipation, Wi-Fi 6, support DTX:X Ultra Sound, full-size backlit keyboard, Xiao AI voice assistant, and ports HDMI 2.0, Mini Display Port 1.4, USB 3.2 Gen2 and USB-C. The laptop runs Windows 10, but is promised to be upgraded to Windows 11 in the future.
The Redmi G 2021 with Intel chip will start selling in China on September 23 with a price tag of $880. The AMD version will be available on September 28 and will cost $1080.
