Eli Zero urban micro-electric car can be charged from a household outlet in 2.5 hours
Eli Electric Vehicles, a start-up company known primarily for its compact electric vehicles, has announced the launch of production of its flagship Eli Zero micro-car. The compact electric car is built of recycled polypropylene and aluminum with enhanced durability. It has a top speed of 40 km per hour and a range of 80 km on a single charge.
Eli Zero Urban Micro Electric Vehicle accommodates two people. Its overall dimensions are 2.1 meters in length, 1.3 meters in width and 1.5 meters in height. The volume of the cabin is 160 liters. Battery capacity is 5.8 KWh, which is enough to cover 80 km. It is charged from a household outlet and takes 2.5 hours.
The small electric car is equipped with regenerative brakes, power steering, a rear view camera and parking sensors. Seats are heated or cooled if necessary. There is air conditioning, a USB port for charging mobile devices, a sunroof and a 7-inch display.
There are base and luxury versions, which differ - would not believe - in body color. The former uses pearl white and silver, while the latter uses graphite black and blue. The price for the base model starts at $11,900. Sales of Eli Zero compact electric car will start in a few months in 13 European countries simultaneously.
