Huawei has introduced a new generation of the nova series. The line, which appeared about five years ago, has already been supplemented by Huawei nova 9 and nova 9 Pro models.

What's the difference?

The smartphones are not much different from each other. Both are equipped with Snapdragon 778G processor, which is made by 6nm technology. At the same time, the novelties use a version without 5G support. The single-chip system is complemented by 8GB RAM and the storage capacity is 128GB or 256GB.

The Huawei nova 9 features a 6.57" FHD+ screen. The Pro variant has a 6.72" display with a resolution of 1236 x 2676 pixels. Both use OLED panels with 120Hz refresh rate support and an integrated biometric sensor.

The battery capacity in the standard edition was 4,300 mAh, while the Huawei nova 9 Pro has 4,000 mAh. At the same time, the older sibling boasts 100-watt charging via wire instead of 66 watts. With it, the battery charges fully in 20 minutes.

Cameras

On the back of each smartphone there is a main camera consisting of four image sensors - 50 MP, 8 MP, 2 MP and 2 MP. Both are capable of shooting 4K UHD video, and neither has a telephoto lens nor optical stabilization.

The front camera in Huawei nova 9 has 32 MP resolution and is located at the top center of the screen. The Pro version has a pair of 32 MP sensors, which are located in the upper left corner of the front. The second one is complemented by ultra-wide-angle optics.

Price is

Both novelties will hit the market on September 29 with HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system pre-installed. The Huawei nova 9 was priced at $420 or $465 depending on the storage capacity. The Huawei nova 9 Pro will be available for $540 or $605.
