Insider: Samsung may drop the Galaxy S21 FE smartphone, all because of the Galaxy S22
Information has surfaced online that Samsung may not be releasing the Galaxy S21 FE smartphone.
What is known
This was reported by Chinese insider Ice Universe. According to the informant, the manufacturer may change its mind about releasing the new product if it decides to announce the Galaxy S22 line of smartphones in December. This seems like a logical move, after all if you believe the latest leaks, the base unit of the series will be very similar to Galaxy S21 FE.
Recall, Galaxy S21 FE was originally planned to be shown in August, but due to the lack of components, the release of the device was moved to October. If the smartphone does enter the market, it will receive 6.5-inch AMOLED-display with picture refresh rate of 120 Hz, a battery of 4500 mAh with 25-watt charging, 32-megapixel front-facing, main camera with sensors 12 MP, and a chip Snapdragon 888 or Exynos 2100 (depending on market). The device should cost around $630-720.
