Ming-Chi Kuo: Apple's redesigned MacBook Air with a new ARM chip will hit the market in the third quarter of 2022

We have already written more than once that Apple is developing a completely updated MacBook Air. Now we know the approximate release date of the new product.

When to expectAccording to Chinese analyst Ming-Chi Kuo (Ming-Chi Kuo ), Apple plans to start mass production of the laptop at the beginning of the third quarter of 2022. Consequently, the new product may be unveiled in August or September next year.

Recall, the new MacBook Air will boast updated design, colors, as the iMac, as well as the Mini-LED screen, as in the latest iPad Pro. The device is also attributed a proprietary M2 processor. The chip will be a continuation of the current generation M1 and will be based on the mobile SoC A15 Bionic. In addition the notebook will get a new keyboard, reduced frame around the screen and two USB-C ports (one on each side). 

By the way, Apple is preparing to release MacBook Pro 14 and MacBook Pro 16 with M1X chip. If believe the latest rumors, the laptops will be shown before the end of this year.
