Xiaomi will soon stop supporting nine popular smartphones.

What is known

According to Twitter account @xiaomiui, the Chinese manufacturer is halting the release of MIUI test builds for Xiaomi Mi 9, Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, Xiaomi Mi CC9 (Mi 9 Lite), Xiaomi Mi CC9 Meitu Edition, Redmi K20, Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro from November 27. This means that the devices have been given the status EOL (End of Life). It means that only stable firmware versions will be released for them for some time, but we will not wait for the new features, and especially the new MIUI 13 shell.

Recall that all the above smartphones were introduced in 2019. Novelties worked on MIUI 10 out of the box. Now most of the devices have already updated to MIUI 12, and some devices also already received MIUI 12.5.
