Vivo is preparing to launch the iQOO Z5x smartphone with MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor and 44W fast charging

According to an insider from the social network Weibo, Vivo is working on a new low-cost smartphone under the iQOO brand.

What is known

According to the leak, the novelty will be called iQOO Z5x. The device will run on an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor. For those who are not aware, it is a 6-nanometer chipset, which was shown in May this year. The SoC has two Cortex-A78 cores with maximum clock speed of 2.4 GHz, six 2.0 GHz ARM Cortex-A55 cores, Mali-G68 MC4 graphics accelerator and 5G modem embedded. 

As for other specs, the device is attributed a 6.67-inch IPS screen with an opening for the front camera and an increased refresh rate of 120 Hz. The iQOO 5x will also get a 44W fast charging battery and 8GB of RAM. The smartphone is expected to be announced as early as this month.
