Rumor: OnePlus 10 Pro will get a periscopic camera with 5x optical zoom support

While many manufacturers have long been using periscopic cameras in their devices, OnePlus still favors telephoto lenses. But it looks like that's about to change.

What's known

Information has surfaced online that the Chinese manufacturer is planning to add a periscope camera to the OnePlus 10 Pro. It will support 5x optical zoom of the picture. If the information is confirmed, it will be a significant increase compared to the OnePlus 9 Pro. To recall, it has a maximum optical zoom of 3.3x.

As for the other specs of the new flagship, they should include an improved AMOLED display as well as a new top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 processor.

When to expect

Expect the release of OnePlus 10 Pro in the near future. If everything goes according to plan, the device will be unveiled along with the regular OnePlus 10 and OnePlus 10R in the first half of 2022.
