Huawei MateBook 16 - LCD screen, Ryzen 5000 chips, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD for prices starting from €1,100

Huawei has unveiled the MateBook 16 mobile PC powered by the AMD Ryzen 5000 family of Vermeer 7nm processors.

Specifications

Huawei MateBook 16 is equipped with a 16" screen based on LCD panel with a resolution of 2520 x 1680 pixels with a density of 189 pixels per inch. The manufacturer claims a contrast ratio of 1500:1, 300 nits brightness, support for DC Dimming, HDR and 100% sRGB color gamut.

Whatever the modification, the notebook will be equipped with 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD. The battery capacity is 84Wh. According to the manufacturer, a full charge is enough for 12.5 hours of video playback. With 135W fast charging, 15 minutes of plugging in turns into 3.5 hours of battery life.

The Huawei MateBook 16's arsenal includes HDMI, USB-C, headphone jack, USB-A, two 2W stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 adapters. Depending on the modification, users can get one of the two AMD hybrid processors. The base version assumes a 6-core 12-core Ryzen 5 5600H with Vega 7 graphics, while the top-end version assumes an 8-core 16-core Ryzen 7 5800H with Vega 8 iGPU.

Prices

Huawei MateBook 16 with Ryzen 7 5800H processor the company has estimated at €1200. The cost of the standard version based on the Ryzen 5 5600H chip was €1,100.
