Apple developers have rolled out a new system update for the flagship AirPods Pro and AirPods Max headphones.

What's known

The firmware has been released with build number 4A400 and got one long-awaited feature. It's about Find My network support. This technology was supposed to be added to the headphones with the release of iOS 15 in September, but the company has implemented it only now.

In case you didn't know

Find My network will allow you to find lost headphones. That is, if someone else with an iPhone, iPad, or Mac gets close to them, Find My will be able to safely and confidentially relay the approximate location of the headphones. The feature is designed to help you get within Bluetooth range of the AirPods so you can play audio and locate their location.

By the way, a special indicator will be displayed on your smartphone during the search, but unfortunately without directional arrows. All due to absence of U1 chip in the headphones.
