Vodafone and Huawei to test 5G in Ukraine

Huawei and Vodafone Ukraine will test operation of 5G networks in Ukraine at the end of October 2021.

More specifically, the tests of the fifth-generation networks will take place in the UNIT.City Innovation Park, which Huawei announced during the Huawei Road Show 2021 press conference. The National Communications and Information Regulatory Commission has already granted permission to test 5G.

According to representatives of Huawei, mobile operators are ready for deployment of 5G in Ukraine. Purchase of necessary equipment is not a problem. The main snag is that the market participants do not fully understand how they will recover their investments.

Remember that the first real new generation network appeared in Ukraine in early summer of this year. 5G was deployed in the Kyiv office of Ericsson.
