Kirin is everything. Huawei flagships will get Qualcomm processors
In the summer of 2021, Huawei introduced its flagship P50 smartphones with Kirin and Snapdragon processors. The manufacturer had to take such a step because of American sanctions. Apparently, the stock of proprietary SoC ran out, and the next Huawei flagships will be equipped exclusively with Qualcomm chips.
The manufacturer has planned the presentation of Huawei Mate 50 smartphones for 2022. How many models the family will include is not yet clear, but according to network whistleblower @RODENT950, they will be equipped with Qualcomm's flagship processor without support for 5G networks.
It's about the Snapdragon 898 single-chip system, which will be made using 4nm technology. Presentation of mobile chip is expected later this year at the annual conference Snapdragon Tech Summit, which this time lasts from November 30 to December 2.
