Netflix has revealed the number of viewers for the Squid Game series and yes, it's a record
The South Korean series that has put your internet on its ear has also gained one official title: the most massive Netflix series launch to date.
The series, whose success can only be explained by its straightforwardness and simplicity of presentation, but not by the depth of the characters (which is not surprising, since they die like flies in the best tradition of one there series about dragons and thrones), has managed to get a lot of related details.
for example, due to the number of viewers the series managed to noticeably hit the South Korean Internet service provider. It has even sued the streaming service. In short, it's long been clear to everyone that the series has become a phenomenon. All that was missing was the specifics.
Korean dystopian survival thriller Squid Game has been watched by 111 million since its September 17 release, according to a recent tweet from the official service account. It also ranked number one on Netflix in 94 countries worldwide.
Sad but true.
