What a twist: Sony Xperia smartphones will come with Meizu Flyme shell

Sony, unexpectedly, announced a partnership with Chinese smartphone maker Meizu.

Now Sony smartphones will be released with Meizu Flyme branded shell. The first unit to receive it will be the flagship Sony Xperia 1 III. The update for the smartphone will arrive by air in the near future. After installing it, owners of the devices will have a new interface, Meizu branded apps and more.

It is not yet clear whether it will affect smartphones in the global market or it is only about the devices in China. It is also unknown whether the update will be forced. In the near future the company promises to answer all the questions. Perhaps it will happen at the event on October 26.
