Bitcoin is heading for a record high - the price has already surpassed $62,000
Bitcoin exchange rate in the coming days or even hours may beat an all-time high.
In the spring of 2021, the cryptocurrency temporarily crossed the $64,000 mark. But Chinese authorities declared war on the digital currency, causing BTC to more than double in price. The fall continued until the end of May, and then the rate fluctuated between $30,000 and $35,000.
Since mid-summer the rate began to rise again. On August 7, the price approached $44,000 for the first time since spring, and already on August 23, the rate crossed $50,000. A week ago Bitcoin was $55,000.
On the evening of August 15, the value of the cryptocurrency exceeded the mark of $62,000. During one day BTC went up by about 8%, and during the last week - by 14%. At the moment of writing this article, the price is a little less than $62,000, and about $2,500 remain to the historical maximum.
